On Sunday, June 3, 2018 in Guatemala, Volcán Fuego erupted spreading lava in a pyroclastic flow that devastated nearby communities in minutes. While the death tolls are unknown, thousands of people are now displaced, having lost everything.
In true Guatemalan fashion, the fellow Guatemalans have come together to support those effected by the volcano eruption. Many are asking for basic necessities including medicine, clothes, and sleeping bags. One thing that is often requested is bottled water.
Clean Water for the World is loaning a purifier to one of the larger shelters in Esquintla, Guatemala where everyone will have access to purified water without having to purchase bottled water. We want to make this a permanent donation.
Join us in helping provide long-term sustainable relief here in Guatemala as the recovery will take months, if not years.
