Community Water System

Clean Water System

Everybody pitches in to help install the clean water system on the wall of the local school. Clean drinking water is the lifeblood of every community.

Clean water prevents disease. Every day thousands of men, women, and children die needlessly from diseases directly related to drinking polluted water.

Even when people have enough food to eat, they die from invisible hunger that comes from drinking unsafe water.

Waterborne parasites from drinking contaminated water multiply continuously in weakened bodies, robbing their hosts of nourishment and energy.

80% of fatal childhood diseases that kill children are caused not by shortages of food and medicine, but by drinking contaminated water.

When we think of fighting hunger, we think of emergency relief efforts bringing shipments of food. When we think of healing disease, we think only of doctors, nurses and medicine.

We can actually stop hunger, heal disease and save thousands of precious lives with the simple gift of clean water. Long after a humanitarian relief effort has ended and temporary medical teams have gone back home, the gift of clean water continues to nourish and heal.
