How It Works
Our water purification unit:
- Uses ultraviolet light to kill bacteria and viruses in the water.
- Can run on electric or solar power.
- Uses less power than a 40 watt light bulb.
- Produces up to 5 gallons of purified water per minute, 300 gallons per hour.
WATER PURIFICATION PROCESS Hose to Water Source: Contaminated water enters, under pressure or gravity-fed, through hose into the 5-micron (5/1000th of a millimeter) filter. Filter: The 5-micron filter removes all particulates, of that size and larger, that are present in the water. Solenoid: The Solenoid is a safety device. Its purpose is to permit water to come out of the faucet, ONLY when the U-V light bulb is lit and purifying the water. U-V Light Chamber: The water passes by the U-V light, which is inside a glass sleeve to keep it dry, and the U-V light destroys the bacteria and/or viruses that are present in the water. Faucet: When the water comes out of the faucet, it is pure and free of all harmful bacteria and/or viruses and safe to drink. Unit: This unit will produce up to 5 gallons of pure water per minute.
